One of our favorite new traditions is the “after session”—a time after the wedding when you and your spouse re-don your wedding-day attire (or something entirely different), and take photographs you weren’t able to get on your wedding day, when you were stressed about keeping your dress clean and getting to the reception on time. Whether you do an after session hours later or once you have a honeymoon glow, we’re offering some tips and inspiration from top photographers in the region on doing it right.

Here’s Part I, from Richard Israel Photography, as he took couple Jenee and Jake Thorsell to South Mountain State Park for a post-wedding session we can’t get enough of.

“Some brides are squeamish about keeping their dress flawless after the wedding,” says Israel. “But if you’re not, if you’re up for trying new ideas, like getting in water, you can see the artistry of your dress’s movement and design in a different, inspiring way.”
